The Macallan in Lalique Legacy Collection could be yours this April

Following over a decade of collaboration, The Macallan and Lalique are coming together once again, for the grand finale of The Macallan in Lalique Six Pillars series with a charity auction at Sotheby’s “Finest & Rarest Wines And The Macallan” in Hong Kong. On April 2, the six stunning crystal decanters containing the rarest of The Macallan’s single malts aged from 50 to 65 years old, will be offered for sale at Sotheby’s Hong Kong as the world’s only complete collection.

Adding to its high desirability, this special Legacy Collection is housed in a unique, bespoke cabinet crafted from natural ebony created by Lalique. The cabinet will also hold six Macallan Fine and Rare miniatures; two from each of the 1937, 1938 and 1939 vintages (signifying the zenith of Lalique’s contribution in the French Art Deco period). Six pairs of Lalique Macallan glasses, each serial-numbered to commemorate this unique partnership, will also be included. To complete the collection, autographs of the masters behind the collection will adorn the interior of the cabinet. To top it all off, the lucky buyer will have the option of having his/her own name engraved within it.

The lot will be offered at an estimate of HK$2,000,000 – HK$4,000,000.

The six limited edition releases contained in the cabinet are:

The Macallan in Lalique – Exceptional Oak Cask, 50 Years Old
The Macallan in Lalique – Natural Colour, 55 Years Old
The Macallan in Lalique – Finest Cut, 57 Years Old
The Macallan in Lalique – Curiously Small Stills, 60 Years Old
The Macallan in Lalique – Spiritual Home, 62 Years Old
The Macallan in Lalique – Peerless Spirit, 65 Years Old
