The new Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Bourbon Cask & Rye Finish has finally arrived in Singapore, marking the second edition of the Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch portfolio. The latest addition follows the Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Red Rye Finish.
The special series highlights experimental Scotch whiskies that are unlike tradition, and brings a fresh take from the distillery’s persistent pursuit of flavor and blend, extending from Johnnie Walker’s expert blenders for more than two centuries.
The blend was originally extracted from more than 200 whisky samples, before being aged in first-fill bourbon casks. Finished for up to six months in former rye casks, the latest addition draws from the personal journey of master blender Dr Jim Beveridge, who started creating whisky over four decades ago. The full-bodied blend offers a honeyed sweetness, with a fascinating combination of whiskies from five distilleries including Dufftown and Port Dundas.
“The Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch series showcases the range of miscellany and character of the liquid, enabling consumers to rediscover the world of Scotch,” says Rajesh Joshi, Marketing Director of Moet Hennessy Diageo.
The Limited Edition Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Bourbon Cask & Rye Finish (S$120/1L bottle) is available at speakeasy bars, specialist retail outlets and select ecommerce sites island-wide.
