This year’s Singapore Yacht Show (SYS) will see the world’s most prominent yachts docked at One°15 Marina Sentosa Cove from April 6 – 9, in what is expected to be Asia’s biggest display of boats, yachts and superyachts. Among this year’s exhibitors include Azimut Singapore and SG Boating, aside from international brands Ferretti Group, Princess Yachts and Gulf Craft. SilverYachts will also be making its Asia debut, as it unveils the largest yacht ever to be displayed at SYS, the 77m Silver Fast. With 13 boats on display, Boat Lagoon Yachting host the year’s largest line-up, including the Asia debut of the Princess S60 and Jeanneau’s powerboat Merry Fisher 895.
Among this year’s highlights includes exciting parties, where visitors can either lounge on-board some of the yachts or take to the exhibitor’s on-water lounges. Of course, the yacht show is not without the annual Asia Boating Awards, which will have exciting supercar parades, fashion shows, and a very special SYS & Yisin Chinese Regal Night.
Designed by Espen Øino, a sleek new motoryacht takes its form in the 77m SilverFast, boasting an aerodynamic hull form and a superstructure uncannily evocative of a shipyard. Indeed, the largest vessel built by Australian builder SilverYachts’ also stands amongst this year’s dazzling fleet of superyacht as the largest exhibit at this year’s show. The impressive yacht can even take you from Australia to Europe in 21 days with only one fuel stop.
Another notable superyacht is Benetti Yachts’ Ambrosia, a majestic 65m yacht that matches the wingspan of a 747 and comfortably fits up to 12 guests and 20 crew. Find a helicopter deck and spa pool on its outdoor decks, or lounge in its VIP staterooms with majestic views from full-sized windows.
The Ocean Emerald, designed by Norman-Foster will also be on display. With her classically beautiful furnishings and contemporary design, you might find the Ocean Emerald familiar – indeed, the dazzling yacht was featured in the re-make of Point Break, a 1991 cult classic movie.
Don’t forget the latest yacht accessories and equipment, from three person submarines to flyboards, explore the deepest parts of the sea with a fascinating underwater virtual reality dive experience in the U-boat Worx. Look out for the Deep Trekker from Marine Commerce, a remotely-operated underwater drone which will also feature in a live demonstration.
Indulge in Singleton Sensorium’s exciting virtual reality experience at Boater’s Bar, in the chic Lanson Champagne Lounge with an all-new Whisky Bar. There will also be a VIP Lounge, specially re-designed and only for special guests, as you enjoy some of Diageo Reserve’s world class mixologists.
