Manhattan skyscraper One57, also known as ‘The Billionaire Building’, has been relisted on Douglas Elliman for $52 million. At the time of the 75-storey skyscraper completion in 2014, the building was the city’s tallest residential building at 1,005 feet.
The 4 bedroom apartment can be entered through a private elevator gallery, leading up to its spacious great room spanning 1,500 square feet. From there, one can admire the iconic Central Park, which sits just opposite the sprawling skyscraper. Revel in the elegant surrounds, with high ceilings of 11 feet 9 inches and floors of a stunning Brazilian rosewood, styled in a gorgeous French herringbone.
One57 topped New York’s list of most expensive residences ever sold in January 2015 when a duplex sold for a record $100 million. Designed by award-winning architect Christian de Portzamparc, the skyscraper is indeed an architectural triumph, with stunning walls of glass and a prominent presence in the immediate skyline.
Last October, Chinese billionaire Liu Yiqian famously bought a 4,483 square feet unit from the skyscraper for 25 percent less than its original asking price of $31.7 million.
